Your tasks:  The position reports to Fives Steel Supply Chain Director. The ideal candidate can work well in a project team and can communicate technically with other team members. In addition, the following abilities are desired: * Ability to take “ownership” of assignments and make critical project related decisions. * Able to manage projects and work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive schedules and deadlines. * Able to work collaboratively with employees of all levels within the organization. * The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment is a necessity. * Capable of planning and managing communication. * Available to travel domestically and internationally (India and South East Asia). * Professional interpersonal skills (oral & written communication and persuasion skills) to build internal and external relationships. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands our core customers’ businesses and speaks their language; develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment. Specific Responsibilities Include: Quality & Safety : * Make sure the safety policies are implemented and followed by Fives team. Promote safety and safe practices. * Schedule & Perform quality control checks * Perform visual and dimensional inspections on structural steel components pressure vessels, piping components and systems. * Ensure compliance to codes, standards and specifications stipulated in the purchase order. Manage non conformities Progress : * Ensure that that the progress of the order is aligned with contract schedule. * Collect manufacturing schedules provided by the vendor. * Assess progress of the order and verifying the progress reported by the vendor. * If the vendor is behind schedule, work with the vendor on a recovery plan. Expediting & Delivery : * Coordinate deliveries to construction site, control sea worthy packing quality * Assist vendors in the preparation of packing lists for finished parts prior to delivery of equipment to end-User site and coordinate with logistic team for organization of transport * Conduct OPIs of free issue items sent by Fives to the fabrication shops * Manage the local Inspection & Expediting resources. Reporting : * Issue regular progress reports to Fives Steel Supply Chain Director * Highlight in timely manner about issues prevailing with vendors (Quality, Progress…) * Propose recovery plans in coordination with the project team ( project management, purchasing and supply chain)

Your profile: *  Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment ( if VIE experience will be less) * Able to read and understand drawings and specifications * Organized, well structured, rigorous, autonomous * Leadership, Assertiveness, Analysis and synthesis capacity, Teamwork and Customer contact capacity * Minimum of 1 year of Industrial Project Management ( if VIE experience will be less)  . Position is based on Fives site in Kolkata. Travel to and from Fives’ site and vendors both domestically and internationally is required.
